Diagnostics protocols same as Rover?

Recommended Posts

I have implemented a product which does (amongst other things) the EDC15M diagnostics protocol as used on Rover 25/45 diesel, and the EDC15C4 protocol as used on the Rover 75 diesel and the MEMS1.9 as used on MGF and others.

I am wondering if Landrover used the same protocols as Rover or whether they changed them?

If anyone lives near me (I live in Ruislip, west London and work in Hertfordshire) and would like to try it out I would love to hear from you.

I note in the rules it says "Participants may not use the Forums to post or transmit advertisements or commercial solicitations of any kind" which is why I have said not too much about the product. Hopefully I haven't gone over the line...

Thanks, Philip

Today I had this successfully working on a petrol Freelander with MEMS1.9. It was an X reg.

Also I had it working on a TD4 year 2003 model. You can read what the owner of the TD4 said about it here

I also had a fantastic report from an owner of an MG ZR with the L series diesel. He had tried multiple professional tools to try and read his error codes and mine was the first to actually work, but of course that doesn't guarantee that it will work on a Freelander L series.

I would really like to test this on a Freelander 1 with the L series diesel. Can anyone let me have a go?

And if you have a petrol one or a TD4 please go ahead and buy one to fund my Kickstarter project :D
