Freelander MK1 Clutch issue

HIya

would if anyone can shed any light on an issue I have having with my clutch.

About 6 weeks ago I had the clutch, Mas Fly wheel, master & slave cylinders replaced by a garage. Since then it has been back to the garage every week as I am stuggling to engage a gear after a 3 to 4 days of driving. They have exchanged the master cylinder as it apparently was faulty. They have flushed and bled the system as the clutch fluid was contaminated. There are apparently no leaks in the system cos I got them to check that too. But yet again after 3 days of driving (about 70miles in total) I am fighting to engage gears again .1st, 2nd & reverse are hard to engage but you have to fight to engage any gear .

Any ideas on why the clutch playing up?

Cheers

Andi

Are they a reputable service agent? "Contaminated fluid" sounds dubious. The slave comes with integrated lines and is prefilled with fluid. If they did both slave and master at the time, then there is little chance of fluid contamination unless they supplied contaminated fluid.

They may have used a clutch plate or pressure plate that is not exactly "in spec" and the slave cannot get sufficient disengagement, or the master or slave may be faulty, or they've used the wrong fluid, or there's still air or a blockage or an obstruction in the fluid lines.

yeah everything was changed on the same day

when I get it back each week it drives fine for the first short trip or two then it gradually starts becoming an issue changing gear.
