WickhamMan
Just replaced the worn out tyres on my newly acquired 1999 TD5 with 255/55/18 General Grabber AT's. On full lock they are fouling on the suspension. Normal due to the profile and something to just remember or something I need to fix with some slim spacers? (slightly concerned of spacers and the potential increased load on the suspension/drive components). All comments welcome! WM
bear
Hi WM, Had exactly the same on mine. All you need to do is unscrew the lock stops and put washer/s behind to stop tyre fouling hockey stick. Raise the front of the vehicle and move steering from lock to lock and you'll see the problem. Does mean you'll loose a small amount of turning circle. It's due to the AT's being slightly bulgier on the tyre wall. HTH, Griff

WickhamMan
Brilliant, thanks for the reply. Where the heck are the lock-stop!!
WickhamMan
Just Googled 'lock stops' and it looks straightforward, the vehicle is being serviced at West 4x4 on Thursday so I might get him to adjust.
