ABS

Hi.
I recently I purchased my 2001 Freelander 1.8 S.
There is a minor ABS problem with it.
Under light braking, just before the vehicle comes to a stop, the ABS kicks in bouncing the pedal, even though the wheels are not locked up.
It doesn't affect the braking, they still stop the car just fine.
If I use a bit more pedal pressure, it doesn't happen, and it stops just as normal.
There is no warning lights on the dash, and the ABS seems to work fine.
Do you think this could be a faulty ABS sensor? Or the ABS pump?

Thanks

Steve
