Ben Jordan
When i went to the propshaft specialist they brought out a brand new double cardon (just the joint) from a Discovery that they said they were putting into a prop for a Land rover. If there were better option surely they would of got one of them to put into a propshaft?
white90
with 2" lift and castor correction arms you can re phase a standard prop all you want it won't cure the problem I wasted a day doing just this. see HERE for a a pic the standard prop was rephased to every possible combination this made no difference, I fitted the Disco prop and job Done!(thanks to Rod for the prop) Ben D90SV (Jim) will rebuild a disco2 prop with a fully greaseable d/c unit for a good ££ L/R leave out the grease nipples as they don't pay for the replacements not because they aren't needed. your local prop clinc may be unawre of what else is available, see link below you can order your own D/C unit from HERE and have your prop made up locally. Full write up of the job can be read HERE As others will know I replaced: front diff transfer box rear prop x2 front props Ball joints In search of a cure for this before the front brand new prop was replaced with the D2 one.
