lemoulindumee
Hi, I've got a 2004 td4 freelander and the injector pump has developed a drip from the lower cover which appears to stop when the engine is hot (?!). Seems like this is a common problem and removing the pump doesn't phase me, however is it a good idea to change the seals yourself? I've always been under the impression that you should never mess around with a HP pump under DIY conditions as they are so easily contaminated. So am I better off finding a Bosch service centre or trying to change the seals myself? Cheers for any help or advice, Jimmy
d4x4
If you are able to remove the pump(special tool needed). You have done the hard work. Clean the pump to remove any dirt. Undo the 4 bolts gently lift the top off (nothing flirts out) change the seals note which way up valves go etc. Keep everything clean.
