Megajolt 14cux resistors

Hi I've got a 3.9 which I've added megajolt to and was running fine then just cut out. It was still using the original coil to get the 14cux fueling. I've read about adding in resistors to replace the coil and still send the signal. I'm struggling to find/understand exactly where I wire them in to and what values I need?

You take them from ABCD at the coil pack or the EDIS, whichever easier. if you search for diodes rather than resistors you should get more results, you use 4 1N4001 diodes and a 5V zener, though I forget which part number off the top of my head.

The diodes stop current flowing backwards (think of them as a one-way valve for electricity) so the coils don't interfere with each other. The zener acts as a limiter, it will try to stop the voltage across it going above 12v although the input to the 14CUX is likely quite tolerant of spikes from the original coil.

I have done exactly this and if you follow the above diagram (i opted for the resistor rather than a zener) you definitely remove the resistor that's in the original wire. The resistor on mine was in the loom right next to the coil, however, i ran the wire back into the cab and joined into the ecu loom much closer to the ecu itself.
