den5008
I wonder if you kind people can help me with my dilema. I have a 1994 ex military 2.4 diesel 110 ffr defender,I have always thought that I had a LT 77 gear box,but looking at some of the posts the reverse on a lt77 is up and to the left next to first gear. Now mine is down and to the right of opposite 5th gear so looking at other posts would this be the R380 Gear box?? with a LT230t Transfer box. now I want to change the gear and transfer box oil. looking at this chart http://www.dingocroft.co.uk/Rec_lubes_Def.htm it says to use atf dexron IID orATF Dexron 2.would this be correct? Many thanks Den

Many thanks Den it'll be a R380 main gearbox. use MTF94 in the main box & EP80W/90 in transfer box. I'm assuming the engine is a 300tdi 2.5 litre ?
