OwBist
Hi, It seems that pre-2004 diesels don't support OBD. Do the older Freelanders have any sort of ODB code readout method? Or will I have to vist a dealer? Many thanks.
Bowie69
"Don't" just means don't have to, but some certainly do, so could be worth trying if you can borrow one....?
Fatboy
I used a Terrafirma reader on my 2003 TD4 last week successfully.
tacr2man
Most generic OBD readers wont work with DDE4 etc as used on Freelander . I had to get a Hawkeye .
qwakers
ive got a autocom its dealer level and supports just about any vehicle whether they're obd compliant or not. case in point i use it on a 2002 iveco cargo. (infact thats what it was bought for) definitely an early version of obd and no generic reader would read it. the autocom will read it fine and will even let me mess with the injection ecu to turn up the fuelling if i want to,,, pretty pointless though as its limited to 56......
