Skipton auto jumble?

It appears to be run by the same people as Newbury, in which case, if you have a shopping list it’s definitely worth going. If you need new bits – you would probably won’t get many savings over ordering online (even including postage). But if you need secondhand stuff – body panels, doors, dash pieces etc you can pick up a bargain.

There’s also the social aspect – have met a couple of people at Newbury that I otherwise knew only online.

Mikec, yep getting bigger every year since the takeover from sodburys , I have been most years as its 15 mins from my house which is handy :0)

Depending on what ya after or may need - its probally worth a trip I say

I may well go, need to get a rear axle :) hopefully one will fit in the back of an Astra van!

I'm sure you will be spoilt for choice on that one ( depending on what type ya after )

I've gotta rustle up some "fine collectables" to sell there, but I'll mainly be sat in a chair chatting and making bacon rolls and cups of T :0))

Will have to have a quick stroll around "just in case " Ha Ha

I went, got there about 8.50 left about 9.30. It's just too small, there was nothing on my shopping list.

On my way home I stopped off at Clitherore car boot, just for something to do really. Entry to that was 1.50 compared to 4 quid for skipton, and it was about 6 times bigger

i went over too in the hope of finding some TD5 bits, as you say it seemed very small, not much in the way of defender spares. Most of the stalls seemed to be either the usual tools/oils/cleaning products vendors, or contained lots of older series vintage stuff. Some of the big traders had stands, i saw boltonbits and YRM there.

That said, it was about half 11 i got there, oddly the website said it didnt open to the public until 10, so its interesting you got in at 8:50!

Now i'm wondering if i should try and do newbury next weekend? Is that any better?

Yesterday was bitter & cold, Had a bit of so called snow (some worse than others)!! But everything is again sodden. Which is why I was asking as I have to do a fair bit of travelling to get to Newbury & if theres not a lot of people then????
