plasticbadger Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 Hi, I hope someone can help my confusion. I just bought a new fuel pressure regulator for my early D2 Td5. I purchased pressure regulator part number LR016319, which states its for 1998 - 2001. I also purchased the gasket part number MSX100080, which states its for engine numbers pre 10P15967B. The new regulator has different shape passages to the original and the gasket does not work. It looks like I need gasket part number MSX000010, which state engine numbers 10P15968B on (mine is pre this range). I understand LR updated the fuel pressure regulator, so is it that only the later 10P type is available now, but you can still buy the original type gasket? Note that the new regulator still is single hose type, not the later two hose EU3 type. So my question is, if I buy the later gasket, that appears to be the right shape for the new regulator, will it work on my earlier engine!?
