Joe67
if anyone has time, could you please post a picture how the front seatbelt mount on the floor should originally look like on a 93 disco one
JeffR
Do you mean where the stalk mounts? If you can hang fire till the weekend, Ive got to start taking the dash out of mine which will leave most of the floor area near the transmision tunnel exposed - also need to find a water leak so carpets will be out...... Joe67
where the belt runs from the pillar down to floor and bolts in, just to the rear of front seat? at the moment, theres a plate with a captive nut covering a hole, soon as i started to loosen the bolt the plate started spining to show the hole/carpet interested to see what its ment to look like, ill get a picture cheers
JeffR
If you look at my Jordan thread, there is a rather large plate spot welded to the inside of the wheel arch (can be seen looking into the wheel arch): Plate is simply spot welded to wheel arch

qwakers
yeah that would be a fail.. http://www.motuk.co.uk/mot_appendix_c.htm
JeffR
That plate on mine is spot welded to the floor the same as the one in the wheel arch , sorry didn't word my post very well, was having a blonde moment. If you assault the end os the bolt with a wire brush to remove the rust, then get someone to hold the plate with slip joint pliers, you should be able to get it off. Simple job to repair the floor then weld the plate back in place.
qwakers
after reinforcing the rust area it welds to of course... or it will still fail...
