Turbobert
Is it possible to use these without having to start the engine? I need to be able to do this while stationary. At present mere insertion of the ignition key alone doesn't work.
western
ignition has to be on, but no need to start engine, just putting the key in & not moving it won't achieve anything.
Turbobert
Even if I put the key in to its full extent the wipers won't work unless I start the engine. Any ideas?
Turbobert
Nobody any ideas? Is there a fault with my Freelander or is this standard please
Blippie
I think Western has already answered your question. You need to insert the key, and twist it to its second position (the one before the final twist that starts the engine) which switches all the electrics on as if the engine was running. This will allow you to use the wipers. Thanks Blippie
Daniellecee07
The windscreen wipers should definetly work when you turn the key to the second position... instead of turning the key the whole way round and starting the engine. If your certain this doesnt work then maybe there is a fault?
