90MAD
Hi all I have a 2003 td4 and the rear brakes are sticking on when left over night, it sounds like it's the passenger side which is sticking on. So in the morning the brakes brake off as if stuck on by been frozen and then driving off I can hear a scrapping noise ( rubbing, scrapping as if shoes are still on ) I haven't check if they getting hot. I've checked through the history of the car and the rear brakes have not been done that I can see so am thinking going down the replace shoes ( both sides as that's what you do ) rather than doing the hand brake cables. Any help or ideas would be great. Cheers
FridgeFreezer
Well, yes, 1st thing would be to have a look at them, but while you're in there may as well do the shoes. I've heard the auto-adjusters can stick. Mine does this quite regularly when parked all day but they don't drag, just "pop" free and then it's fine.
