Dr Gneil Pipely
I am after some general measurments from a 90length including bumpers and spare wheel 3894mm (153) - Def 90 HT and SW. 3649mm Def ST and PU (internal spare wheel) width (full not just body) 1790mm ex mirrors, 1992mm inc mirrors and a few more so i can play around in my CAD package the distance between chassis main rails 636 - 634 mm Body width at very front (not including wheel arches) distance from the bottom of the grill, back to the first x-member don't know - above measurements from official LR documents distance top to bottom of the main chassis rails not sure exactly what you mean, but my measurements came from the RAVE manual (I think) which has diagrams of all chassis variants (90-130) and all measurements. thanks everyone
landroversforever
Ahh brilliant , i just need to wait until i get home and i can measure the space down the side of the house to see if one will fit with a bit of room . for the chassis main rails, i was wondering what the dimensions of the cross-section are i.e. width and height of a 'slice'

You might just need to make a worthwhile adjustment or two. Have you considered an "instension"? It's the opposite of an extension and is designed to reduce the dimensions of your house until the 90 fits

Not really a persuading tip, but bear in mind this quote: "Forgiveness is easier to obtain than permission". Oh, as for chassis "slice" they change from one end to t'other. Have a look at attachments (haven't attached to a post before, hope it works...) ThreeSheds
it does fit i got 4.3m long by 2.9m wide just got to persuade mom and dad to let me get one ...anyone got any painless persuading tips???? This is great - you remind me of my total enthusiasm for cars when I was 'living at home' - luckily in my case dad was as daft as me and (when I was 16) bought me a Mini-wreck to rebuild... Of course he didn't tell mum (I don't think she even knew until one day when she asked why he wasn't putting the car in the garage any more!) but, as is pointed out by Dr Gneil Pipely: Forgiveness really is easier to obtain than permission... Why don't you fill in your profile a bit and you never know - there may be a forum member nearby who needs a hand now and then - that way you could get a Land Rover fix and learn a load of 'stuff' too. Who knows - you may even live near me and can come and sort mine out for me TwoSheds
