karlo
Does any one know what temperatures the Green PRC3359 and Yellow PRC3505A thermostat housing fan switches on the elbow work at on a Discovery 1 300 tdi? *Edit* temp ranges Yellow PRC3505 f100/94c Green PRC3359 L115/109c Found it when I looked on the sides Doh!!! So next question, does anyone know which one is used for air con fans?
cipx2
The yellow one is for the AC fans - the one closer to the engine, the one with a normally open contact. In theory, the contact closes at 100C and gets opened when temp drops bellow 94C. (the green one has a normally closed contact and when it opens it breaks the circuit for the compressor clutch => it disables the A/C). Oh I can only find one plug on mine, my elbow was replaced with the wrong one before I had the car and it has no switches in.
cipx2
The plugs are color coded the same way as the switches. Unless one of them wasn't cut off, they both should be there. You can see the plugs in the 2nd picture of this thread in the tech archive: http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=10681
