SWO500030

Mine is broken, so I need to change it. However, I found this reference as valid for Disco II, not mentioned Defender, do you know if I can use it in my 2001 110?

2 different ABS unit as far as I can tell in Microcat, No repair kit listed for Defender ABS unit. only a new ABS modulator.

Microcat only shows that number for D2 as you have found.

Nobody have a Disco II near him in order to compare the unit? I thought it was the same unit...

Can you please give me the part number for Defender? sorry to bother but I can't install Microcat in my Linux machine (I'm a newbie in Linux).

Do you think it's possible to use the Disco part in Defender? I disarmed my modulator in order to fix it, and it seems exactly like the Disco's

I'd be very cautious using another type of ABS Modulator in a different vehicle, I 'm aware your overseas & don't know what your insurance company would do if they ever found out it wasn't the standard factory fited unit & that the system is currently disabled if you had a accident.

No, I'm not trying to change the unit, only to use the SVS unit sold for Disco II. Looking at Disco Wabco units sold in USA, their modulator is exactly the same of mine, only placed in different position. Can you please confirm me if your UK Defender's have this modulator or a different one?

as far as I know the only ABS modulator fitted to UK Defenders is the same as shown in the DEfender diagram above, my own 110 is a 1989 vehicle built long before ABS brakes were ever fitted to Defenders.

if the repair kit you linked to will fit your system I cannot advise, simply because I do not know.
