Rustyv8
Hi all I'm refitting my heater box and purchased a new bulkhead seal while im at it (STC952). Old seals have been removed however However it doesn't really seem to fit snugly around the opening. Is it meant to go around the flange (as in photo) or inside the flange (in which case totally wrong fit)? See attached picture... also if it goes around the flange is it supposed to go over the top bolt holes (I cut a slot to allow that, but now not so sure I should have done so) It just looks like it doesn't really want to fit, and I think ill struggle to get it to compress enough to attach the lower bolts :-( Thanks Alan ______________ 1986 3.5 V8 90
Boris113
I refitted it to the outside, cutting a slot as you had done. It's a real pain to get it close enough to allow the bolts through but it is doable. Fitting longer bolts may make it easier as will a second pair of hands.
