heath robinson
I use Tigerseal for pretty much everything I want to stay. Sticks like carp to a blanket, polyurethane adhesive/sealant about £6 off ebay. It's what they hold windscreens in with in the modern world! We use it to hold solar panels onto van roofs, a blob on a mount on each corner will hold one of them on at 80mph, so that'll explain why it's made a mess of yer paint. I think that "Sticks like carp" stuff, or any other flexible building adhesive would do you really.
heath robinson
Bloody swear filter, the stuff is actually called "Sticks like Sh*t". Not a PU sealant.
sighnbox
The one positive thing is its all behind the snorkel so once Ive touched the bare metal up and replaced the snorkel none of it will be seen
studmuffin
Think Sikaflex EBT is similar stuff they use on boats and caravans and comes in black. Cheers Barry
Boydie
Agreed, use Sikaflex panel sealer, it's expensive but well worth it if you want a long lasting - as in years - water-proof and weather resistant seal.
ajh
If you're not trying to glue it in place and don't want this to happen again, plumbers putty or glazing strip will work fine.
