Keeper96
Hi guys My 1989 2.5td runs quite warm according to the gauge, the needle stands just above 3/4 of the way up the white but doesn't go into the red. However when the engine is off but ignition is on the temp drops back down to about half, I'd this normal? Or is my engine actually running a bit warm or does the gauge lie and actually tells the truth at halfway? Thanks Jamie
Keeper96
As an added bonus I found that if the gauge starts reading hot turning the engine off then back on quickly reduces the gauge back down to the halfway point. Because if this I'm guessing a faulty gauge or some other electrical issue? Would this be right? Thanks Jamie
western
check the U clamp securing the gauge in place is not toucj any other metal parts of the gauge or surrounding items, but sounds like a duff gauge to me.
