MarWoody
Can anyone recommend someone to recon my transfer box please? My 2009 110 has only done 20k miles, but the transfer box is already knackered. I would appreciate a recommendation. Thanks in advance! landroversforever
I've yet to use mine yet (rebuilding my 90), but it was done by Ashcroft.
Happyoldgit
What knackered symptoms does it have?
robertspark
Is it bearing failure or seals or centre diff? (Money on bearing rear output side 1.4:1 lt230q box) Give ashcrofts a ring you may benefit from a 1.2:1 box if it's bearing failure (lack of oil) +1 recommendation from me
Lewis
(Money on bearing rear output side 1.4:1 lt230q box) As per this thread, http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=91574#entry791455 all puma LT230 are 1.2 ratio
Retroanaconda
Some Tdci vehicles have a fault where the adaptor shaft (that takes drive from the MT82 output into the LT230 input gear) can wear away prematurely giving a terrible clunking and eventually loss of drive. I believe lack of lubrication (not oil-immersed) from the factory is to blame?
CwazyWabbit
This thread details what you speak of James, also that ashcrofts were looking at a solution to it http://forums.lr4x4.com/index.php?showtopic=87093
