firesden
I need advice. drove defender 300tdi for 2 days whilst on diff lock coz of failed diff switch. now it does not disengage from diff lock. so I removed front propshaft. the problem now is that when I disangage diff it pulls with the front wheels instead of the back wheels,
Tanuki
Assuming the linkages to the diff-lock are free, the usual way to get it out of diff-lock if it sticks is to reverse rapidly for a few yards. [Or, disengage diff-lock when you're still on a slightly slippery surface so the tyres have a chance to squirm a bit and release the tension in the transmission]
western
or jack up one wheel & unlock the centre diff.to relieve any wind up.
Team Idris
"the problem now is that when I disangage diff it pulls with the front wheels instead of the back wheels" I need a bit more on that please. Do you mean with diff-lock-out, that the front wheels spin first? And the back wheels never spin?
