tegwin
Hi Guys, have a bit of an odd issue... Standard TD5 defender with remote central locking. Was working fine but recently it has started unlocking its self and sounding the alarm/horn. I can lock the truck with either the key or the remote and all seems fine. Then around 5-6 hours later it unlocks all the doors... (Not very safe!) I have tested the functionality of all the door switches and pulled the drivers master solenoid out of the door to make sure it is working without binding up. Cant find any fault anywhere... However, if I lock all the doors and unplug the drivers door solenoid wiring loom the truck stays locked... I suspect the issue is either with the alarm ecu or the door solenoid but no idea which or how to work it out... Weird that its just randomly started happening.. Any thoughts? I can't really live with a truck that unlocks its self!!
CwazyWabbit
Is it weather related?
davie
mine was doing this, check all door pin switches and if any doubt change them. then check interior lights as that caused mine to act up second time.
landy andy.
My old truck used to do this, worse in the cold. Fitted new drivers door actuator, then solved. Andy
101sean
Bro in laws 130 did the same, new drivers door actuator fixed it.
Escape
My 2005 sometimes did the same, I think it started after I removed the interior lights and part of the wiring loom when putting in the roll cage. I always suspected the drivers door switch, but never fully investigated.
