Ian Barrett
Afternoon. In all the excitement of looking at how my new drive and garage base is coming along this morning I managed to reverse into a tree whilst turning around. I've got the NAS style rear step and I thought I'd got away with it and the step had taken all the impact. But it seems not, and I've smashed the reversing light. I'm not a fan of the round light conversions but I still like to upgrade rather than just replace whenever I can, but I can't find a direct replacement for the oblong reversing light in LED - only the round ones. Does anyone know someone who makes/sells direct replacements in LED or do I just give up on the idea and buy a new standard fitting.

FridgeFreezer
Simple solution is stuff it full of as many LED bulbs as you can, should be able to cram an anti-social amount of lumens into a std reversing light box.
GW8IZR
You can indeed, I made a brake light for a project car using a 90 fog light.... it was so bright I had to take 50% of the leds out and it still out lit a 21W stop lamp. The trick is to mount the LED's about an inch (25 mm for youngsters) behind the lens.
mmgemini
I use two standard Defender oblong lights at the rear, both fitted with an LED of 21 watt equivalent
