bluehaze
What are the feelings on standard voltmeter gauges? I'm considering removing it and replacing with something more useful.
western
the standard guage doesn't really give a indication of what is actually happening, so I changed mine to the VDO vision voltmeter, LR call the factory fit voltmeter a 'battery condition gauge'
bluehaze
Last year it gave no indication that the battery was on its last legs, hence am now thinking about its relevance. But what would be more useful?
western
Depends on what you want to monitor, in my 110 for example -- engine oil pressure & temperature, voltmeter, boost, fuel content, coolant temp. The volt & oil temp are VDO vision gauges, the rest are LR.
need4speed
All of the gauges in my 110 are VDO Vision except for a Td5 speedometer. I've got the voltmeter too but still to find out its effectiveness.
