stephencdavies Posted August 26, 2016 Share Posted August 26, 2016 put a tester across the brake light connection and earth on the socket. google the socket terminal diagram if you havent got one. if you have power on the main loom to the socket loom. then the tester should light. wedge something on the brake pedal, else it wont light up any way. if the tester lights up but the brake lights of the trailer dont, then it will be a short. mostly its down to a bad connection. try cleaning the terminals in both plug and socket.
