13 pin trailer socket has no power to brake lights

trailer loom on a puma 2008

loom on truck has got power to brake light wire

the wire from extension loom to trailer socket is in good order but when the 2 are plugged together no power is getting to the end socket which the trailer plugs into

can anyone help Please

put a tester across the brake light connection and earth on the socket. google the socket terminal diagram if you havent got one. if you have power on the main loom to the socket loom. then the tester should light. wedge something on the brake pedal, else it wont light up any way. if the tester lights up but the brake lights of the trailer dont, then it will be a short. mostly its down to a bad connection. try cleaning the terminals in both plug and socket.
