Hello, I fancy making a set of rock sliders for my 90 and hava a few questions.

what is the most common size used 80X40 box or what ? and what is the most common way of securing the pipe that slides in to the tube on the chassis. does the tube on the rock slider go over the chassis tube or through it?

thanks in advance Gary

I used 100mm x 50mm H/D box section. Rear fitment is usually inside the tube and the front is by using the bulkhead outrigger bolt.

My efforts for a series vehicle (catflap)

Rear brackets align with bolt holes in the fuel tank outriggers.

The bulkhead bolt passes through these tabs, which are 5mm thick. (i had to buy a longer bolt to do this)

Cost of materials to make the sliders was £30.
