Two day challenge to be held at Wellington and Huntsham on 10th and 11th of may.
Wellington will be used saturday, sat night special stage will be held at Huntsham and sunday at Huntsham.
Camping avalable at Wellington friday night and Huntsham saturday
With much thanks to Simon and the Team at Devon 4x4 for sponsoring the CSW 2 day Challenge again this year.
For those who have competed at a CSW 2 day Challenge before will know it should be another good weekend to put your vehicle & team to the test over 2 days and 1 night.
We will be catering for the novice as much as the pro's amongst you, which should make it interesting for us setting up, but that does not mean to say you can expect an easy time of it!
There will of course be the night section to look forward too, Chris does like to test you all,
More details to follow.

Unfortunately it seems we have clashed directly, or too closely with several other events and along with a significant number of clashes with members personal comitments we have not received enough entries to cover the costs of this event.
We shall therefore be postponing the Challenge event on the 10th & 11th May till a date later in the year.
We are at present trying to sort a 1 day Challenge on the 11th at Huntsham with the option to also to camp on the Sat night and if we can cover the land costs maybe a night section as well.
I hope to confirm this tommorrow latest.
If anyone else is interested in taking part in the 1 day event can you respond to me by email or phone by tommorow evening please so I can confirm numbers. If you know of anyone else who might be interested in a 1 day challenge please pass this on and get them to reply also.
The 1 day event will be at the normal pre-paid rate of £35 up until Sunday night and £45 thereafter and for non club members. There may also a small charge for the night stage/camping

Is it Ok to come along as a spectator on sunday? and does it cost anything?
I have looked for priestly wood but can't seem to find it on the maps, will there be signs up for the event from huntsham?
I have space for 1 if anyone wants a lift (from taunton, somerset), or better still if anyone wants a fit, strong but basically clueless assistant for the event I volunteer!

Great I want to come along and check out the event as I am currently prepping my 90 to hopefully take part in future challenges, where is it safe to park without annoying the locals if there is no room on site?
An fun event, definately worth taking the time out to attend. I was impressed by the thought that had gone into the special stages, and into setting an event that could cater for both the experienced heavily modified teams and still leave plenty to do for the standard vehicle.
And VERY impressed with the inclusion of a burger van!
Thanks all for making me feel welcome.

A huge thanks and well done to Chris Pedlar ,Chris Bolt and all the Challenge South West crew who put on a spectacular event this weekend , with some well thought out punch locations that involved more brains than brawn to acheive .
The Special stages were good fun also were the night stages on the sat .
The campsite was excellent with everything laid on to make the stay more enjoyable , and thanks to Pod for amusing us with his snoring chorus , had us in fits
And thanks to the Met office for supplying the excellent weather .

I am glad you enjoyed the event, it is when a plan works the way you hoped it would.
I think the highlight of the whole weekend for me was the feedback from teams after completing section 3 on Sat night. Makes all the time & effort we put in seem worth while.
As for section 2, another time I will seriously considder setting up some landing lights on the other side of the little log for certain individuals with wings!
Some extremely well laid out sections by Chris B and just a taster of whats to come for the
South West Decider Trophy
later in the year.

ok Si, it was really hot n sunny, you would have had to eat burgers and drink beer till the small hours.
You would have hated the Sat night special stages in the dark!
We being who we are would have had you straining the old grey matter thinking how to tackle the punches and special stages.
You would have got your truck plastered in mud whilst getting stuck everywhere and would need to keep using your winch.
You were much better off at home mate
Better make sure your not booked for the SW De-Cider Trophy then

We also had a good day, thanks to the organisers and marshalls.
A few of the punch's looked easy but then seemed to take ages to do.
I liked the site plan, makes life easier and you can get on with what you are there to do.
Really great weather and a good event.

Glad you enjoyed the day, thanks for making the effort and coming all the way to take part.
I think the format worked well, and it's good to have some variety in a competition rather than just hunt the punch.
Thanks also to Ian for posting up some photo's, although I took my camera I only had the chance to take on picture!
