Or just don't bother. If you have stuff to post that is of interest, why not post it here?

Otherwise somebody might think the posts are just spam... rolleyes.gif

If you click "Add reply" rather than the fast reply, then you can attach them to the reply, if you click the Browse button and select what you want then click Upload and they will upload to the forum. It is preferred if you try and keep them to 800x600 size so they don't take up too much space though, there is a Windows XP Image Resizer freely available to do this job, or any paint program like Paint Shop Pro can do it too smile.gif

In time of the second World War (1941-1943). There were terrible fights for Leningrad. Even now in rivers, forests and bogs some people find there Military equipment for example tanks.

By the way I wish to notice, that Toyota Land Cruiser 70 rare models - a cabriolet with a demountable roof. The first photos have made in city at the Ice palace. On this trip with us together took part our guests - Paul from Jamaica and Suhov from VSE4x4.

The trip has been organized by May, 9th and devoted to memory of victims on Sinyavino hills, during the Second world war. Here a brief information about these places.

" Sinyavino hills" - it's area around of settlement Sinyavino, a height up to 50 m above sea level in Southern Priladoje where per 1941-1944 the most severe fights during fight for Leningrad were conducted. The victory over these fights guaranteed to the party which has grasped heights, an opportunity to supervise extensive territory against Ladoga lake in the north up to the river Mgi in the south. Also area Sinjavino have selected a place of a concentration of forces for break of Blockade as it there was a territory where the distance between fronts has appeared.

Fights for Sinyavino hills of steel of one of the most tragical pages of fight for Leningrad. After an output of German armies to Ladoga in September, 1941 of height have appeared in hands of the enemy who has created on these heights system of defensive works. From here the opponent corrected artillery fire on the Ladoga Road of a life. Attempts to break through during Sinyavino offensive operations 1941-1942 of success had no blockade of Leningrad. Even after break of blockade in January, 1943.

Sinyavino hills have remained for the enemy that allowed it to fire at the railroad line of the Polyani-Shlisselburg which have connected in February, 1943 Leningrad with the country. Active operations on Mginsko-Sinyavino direction have renewed in the summer of 1943. In September, 1943 the Soviet armies managed to seize a powerful strong point of defense of the enemy - with. Sinyavino and to improve position both the Leningrad, and the Soviet armies on a northwest strategic direction. In January, 1944 Sinyavino hills have been completely released from fascist armies.

With 2000 every spring and summer search groups - exact number of the soldiers who have lost here, on Sinyavino hills, and till now not found here work, anybody (according to military historians, all on Sinyavino hills were lost up to 360 thousand person) does not know. On the rough estimates Finders, it is necessary to find and bury remains of tens thousand Soviet soldiers. " On a photo there are monuments, around rusty helmets " the Echo of war "...

Organizers (club SE4x4) offered this time two lines of different complexity: Spot-check and the Extreme. In an easy category we have sent Pazhan, and in Extreme Land Cruiser, which has "shnorhel". Last minutes we our Pal Ivanich has dared to pass an easy line on a back drive Mazda é2500, it was not prepared for it, it was necessary to pull out it.....
alexander
It's also some photos from light trip.
alexander
In common this track have passed without adventures and stops and have reached camp on finish.
alexander
The category "Extreme" was more harder... Having made some photos on start, we have gone on wood road for L.R.Defender. At the wheel our Cruiser was Ilham Bairamov from solar Azerbaijan.
alexander
Defender was went ahead of us has hooked a turnbuckle for a pipe laid across road, UAZ want before it has extended it by winch, we have passed this place at once, cars with short base passes such obstacles is easier.
alexander
And on these photos Defender pulls out us. Suhov clings a cable

Ben the offroad community here in russia are among the few that actually do care about the environment, along with the hunters, fishermen, foresters, etc. we keep the tracks more or less useable throughout the whole year, and in the depth of winter those distinguishable rutted tracks are a godsend, believe me!
Luckly we are not accursed by the anorak brigade, and even if they did kick up a fuss, we'd simply shoot them smile.gif And anyway, this country is HUGE, plenty of places to play - the so called 'environmentalists' will NEVER shut us down.

Hi Alexander,

You guys have some great places for off-roading. You are very lucky. The landscapes look fantastic and very wild.

The run looks like it was a great success and a very interesting place to be driving through. Parts of Russia do indeed have a tortured history and it is important to take the opportunity to remember those who sacrificed so much, and regardless of where they came from.

Thank you for the report. I enjoyed reading it very much.

Cheers
Alan
