Can you use a MIG auto helmet for stick welding? I vaguely recall something about the UV from stick welding being brighter and you can't see the weld pool.

Most auto masks are adjustable between 9 and 13 so you should be fine,

I have an auto darkening welding helmet (shades 9-13) and the instructions give the following guidelines for use with arc/stick based on current used

Amps ---------- Shade
20 - 40 -------- 9
40 - 80 -------- 10
80 - 175 ------- 11
175 - 300 ------ 12
300 - 500 ------ 13
