Interested to hear what tools / spares you carry as an 'on vehicle' tool kit...

Perhaps also a 'always on board' tool kit / spares package and what would be added to this for mini expeditions??

'always on board' is a basic socket set, a few spanners, and hammer, crow bar and a couple of screwdrivers.
only spares i carry are fuses, light bulbs and a fuel filter...

Along with basic hand tools I carry two other items of brilliant kit ,

A 52mm hub nut box spanner

A 9/16 Propshaft tool

Basic Spares : U/J`s , wheel bearing kit ,fuel filter, fuel line connectors , fan belts , Brake fluid , Shock bushes ,lenses ,bulbs

And when I do a challenge , well a whole lot more .

hammers lots of them all in various sizes for every different job or mood change

for everyday use this works out ok for me:

• rust remover/wd40
• tube of copper slip
• roll of toilet paper
• plastic tube with assorted M5/M6/M8 machine screws, nuts, washers, plastic clips for the softtop and some cable ties
• 13 mm ratchet spanner
• a set of ordinary 6-19 mm spanners and a 9/16"
• polygrip pliers
• disposable plastic gloves
• a few spare fuses carried inside the fusebox

But we drive Land Rovers, they dont break down do they .

so you carry shaft removal tools then????

We carry a

A knife, a spike and a roll of tape for splicing plasma.
A pair of vice grips.
Screwdriver.
Tyre lever.

Used to carry all sorts but dont now. You've all got me worried now tho!
