I have just put one on mine and it makes changing the oil so much cleaner. (Less ear ache from the missus about oil on the block paving too laugh.gif ).

definetly worth using!
Had one on my last 2 discos and friend has one on his 300tdi disco - great bit of kit

I have heard lots of good reports on this product.

I have also heard of isolated instances where the screw in fitting has sheared off leaving you in a bit of a pickle for changing the oil.

However, I do not have one nor do I have first hand experience of them. It could well be that the failures were operator error / monkey mechanic.

Don't know if that helps or not laugh.gif ph34r.gif

I have one for my 300TDI disco, and I can't fault it.

The main reason I can't fault it is cos I haven't fitted it yet, but it looks superb! ph34r.gif

probably even less helpful than bish...

There OK but you still end up witha mess all over front diff and prop when you spin the filter off .
Milemarker Type S
Jase - put a plastic bag (not one with holes in it!) over the oil filter when you spin it off- all the oil gets caught in the bag... Saves having it running up your arm as well!

Or cut down a 2ltr pop bottle and wrap that around the filter.

yeah i was one of those mentioned above

got a bit push happy with a breaker bar and sheared the screw off in the sump

luckily the sump was empty so i drilled out the centre and put the old plug back in until i could get a new drainplug. couldn't recommend them more- make life so so much easier

I fitted one of those to my 300Tdi disco after stripping the thread on the original drainplug. rolleyes.gif
we drained the sump then smeared chemical metal onto the damaged threads, re-cut with a tap then glued the diff-lock plug in with loads of loc-tite.... wink.gif

been fine ever since........ wink.gif
