Hi all
Yesterday i had a look at a Disco TD5 for a family member. The engine cut out on him and now won't start. When it did run it was holding back. The fuel pump in the tank does no run either with ignition or when cranking. The fuel pump relay in the fuse box under the bonnet is pulling in.I have checked all the relavent fuses and all are ok.I have also tried to read the fault codes, but for some reason the vehicle will not comunicate at all( i am using a bosh KTS machine).
I will spend some more time on it later, but if anyone has any ideas they are most welcome.
Many Thanks

The fuel pump and pump pressure are not registered by the ECU anyway. If your pump does not run and the fuse is ok, then the chances are the pump is FUBAR. Best take off the plate under the floor to see if there is power to the pump.

A TD5 doesn't have a lift pump. It just has a high-pressure 4 bar pump in the tank.
