In low box, would a non turbo 90 be a lot different to a 200tdi? in lets say a trial?
western
not by much, the tdi might have a bit more torque to play with, but the gearing in low is identical.

you would notice alot of diference on hills though, i have recently changed my 2.5 non turbo for a tdi, there is a lot of diference in power. you would have more usable power and able to use higher gears for say slippery hills etc.

I find the Tdi much more powerful than the 2,5NAD even at low revs before the turbo gets into action. Must be that direct injection is far more effective since both engines have the same displacement and if I'm not wrong, also use the same camshaft.

yes, i believe it would be completely different.
