Full Version: VIN number
Could anyone tell me where i would find the chasis number other than on the VIN plate?
On the chassis rail, right side in front of the wheel, on the little bit that goes towards underneath the bumper...
...and on the V5 which might be easier to see, unless that is what you are checking

only if the vehicle is young enough to be fitted with the plate here, older vehicles don't have it in the screen corner.

Yes.
upto a certain year the VIN was in 2 locations
on a plate rivetted to the brake pedal/servo mounting & stamped into the front right chassis vertical face between bumper mount/steering box mount
& when the regs changed a additional plate added in the lower left front screen corner plus the 2 places described above.
