Have aquired a 2.25 petrol engine to exchange for my old smoky diesel in my 1967 11A, but alas it doesn't have a carb. what type would my fellow enthusiasts recomend I fitt.
Also, anyone know what colour the engines were painted for this model, I know you must think i'm sick but I thought it may look nice, as well as making it easier to spot the oil leaks.

These engines either had a weber 32/34 DMTL or a zenith carb ,bods tend to recomende the Zenith if it's a good one as they are prone to warping.
From memory if it's a three bearing crankshaft it would have been light green and later 5 bearing ones were red.

...it might have even been a Solex in a '67 Series.

I think I'd get the 2.5 manifolds and use the Weber that engine ran. Twim choke, so 'economic' with a a bit of oopmh when you need it. smile.gif
