My SIII has the Superwinch overdrive fitted. It appears to be working but iis very noisy when engaged.

I never had a chance to investigate why but am just wondering what could be the cause.

Is it lubricated separately from the gearbox?
Des it need oil top-up/change?

Roman, The overdive has a separate filler plug on the top (accessable by removing the panel under the middle seat) which needs to be topped up with EP90. They are notoriously noisy anyway, but it is definalty worth checking the oil!

They eject oil through the hole in the top cover for a hobby, and they're always noisy (whining loudly) when engaged.

Parts are available from the US but can't remember who sells them.
