Washed the truck this evening after the AWDC event at 7S and had a poke around underneath to check on the damage - lots of rocks and bangs at 7S ohmy.gif unsure.gif

Most of the 'armour' took some big knocks, dents in diff guards (and diff pan), bent steering guard, dent in chassis sliders, gouges in southdown tank guard, dents in rear crossmember, and this on the rear arm...

You can see where the truck has slid across a rock on this for a few inches before slipping off the side. It's not just an ickle scrath it's a deep gouge and I reckon that corner of the vehicle must have been resting on the arm on the rock.

I don't think a standard (or orange ph34r.gif ) arm would take that kind of abuse, so a big up for Jez's strong arms i-m_so_happy.gif

oooooo I love strong arms... biggrin.gif

I didn't come with a coat - so I shall leave quiet like.

so bent most things but just scrapped Jez arm and the Southdown tank, got to be a good sign for both manufactures then?

hope th event went well.

dry.gif ooh its just a bit of tinwork from some monkeys working in a barn ph34r.gif

Im impressed Mark - have you acutally managed to dink the tube?
will_warne
They are lovely peices of kit. Looking under my truck there's a fair few scars and scuffs but the trailing arms look fine smile.gif
Mark90
Dink? No dents or bends, just a gouge in the surface in the tube, I'd say 0.5-1mm deep.

Not bad for some monkeys working in a barn

Scratched the two pack. I want my money back! :-)

a little scratch wont phase em but if you hook them off, send em back and I'll repaint them smile.gif
Mark90
Very kind offer. I may take you up on that as it's a pretty tough coat of paint on there, and if I 'touch them up' it won't be quite the same rolleyes.gif

They grey is a base coat for bus chassis (good, solid stuff), I cant remember if some black "appeared" (thats used to paint digger buckets and its even tougher)
