would fit in between the rear arch I reckon, certainly not wide enough to bolt/weld to the top of the body side or rear wheelarch boxes.

It looks really flimsy to me. I wouldn't want to trust that thing to be very effective. I think it'll just fold flat onto the body if there was much weight on it.
