They may be chocolate, but they have a TWO YEAR GUARANTEE which means you should get two years grinding for your money. Not bad methinks.

They're 860W 115mm BTW.

My Wickes grinder is a few years old and still going strong. Paid about £15 IIRC

I am very happy with my two (£9.99 each) from Homebase and I am going to get a third - then I'll have one for the grinder, one for the cutting disc and one for the wire brush... hmm, might need another multi-socket extension lead too smile.gif

I need a new one as my Black and Decker is on its last legs
are the homebase ones thier own brand badged?
Lewis
I bought a 15quid clarke jobbie from machine mart, its pathetically underpowered but what can you expect for £15. It will stall if you try to take paint off with the 65mm wire-wheel mad.gif

Only good thing is its garenteed so i just take it back when it breaks smile.gif

They are called "Powerbase" and are a sort of grey colour.

a vote for the wickes ones, i paid normal price as they weren't on offer when i went in.

been used for cutting grinding and wire brushing and the smoke hasn't leaked out at all.
