  1. Hi everyone, As its nearly MOT time again, its time to get the bodywork bolted on properly, the problem is, having spent many hours in Microcat I cannot for the life of me find the parts I need. 130 crew cab Basically I need the brackets that bolt the front of the hi-cap tub to the chassis and also the rear of the cab to the chassis - I assume its all one set of brackets. before MOT I really need to get this finished - can anyone help will take some photo's so you can see what I've got thanks Matt
  2. Just for reference, I have a ex-AA jumpstart setup to install which uses the 175A connectors
  3. well if we are being picky it should be "Are the lamps in series, parallel or series/parallel" got 84%
  4. As Will says you need to use radiant heating, because of the fabric and infiltration losses from most garages radiant heating is ideal as (most) of the heat is radiant only so not affected by the air moving, plus it will heat gently any surfaces (tools, workbench etc) and also the floor. Its far cheaper to run than heating the entire space.
  5. the problem with this is the cable will heat up, the insulation will met at approx 60 deg C (for PVC) once this melts is likely to allow the (un-fused) copper conductor to make contact with some earthed metal, therefore causing a lot of (poisonous) smoke at best, a burnt out LR at worst. a long pull may end up as the last...
  6. Thanks for that, the reason I cannot find it is the bracket is not fitted to my seatbox, need to order the strengthening bits for both sides before I can drive it... its the bit that item 2 attaches too
  7. Evening all, how the heck does a 110 SW front seatbelt fit together, I've got the reel bolted to the seat box in the rear passenger footwell and also the hoop on the 'b' post, however the end of the seatbelt goes somewhere but I cannot see where... can anyone have a quick look for me! Thanks Matt
  8. I'm a Electrical Design Engineer for a Building Services Engineering Consultancy, I work to design/improve/replace the electrical services within a building
  9. What do you intend using the power for, 3-4 kw is alot really I think, I have a 2kw hydraulic motor based generator, designed to be powererd from the gearbox hydraulic PTO (to go with the H14 setup), I now just use a 2.2kw petrol generator because running the generator from the PTO made loads of waste heat, noise and used (comparatively) lots of fuel.
  10. Hi Gents, thanks for the responces, I think I've found a 130 hi-cap tub, need to ring in the morning to see if its complete and what condition. unfornatuly equicar haven't got anything of any use at the moment, the only thing is the rear bulkhead which is actually the same as what I have - it just needs moving back to line up with the back doors. as I get started i will try to get loads of photo's Thanks again Matt
  11. Right then, following on from my questions about hi-cap tub lengths last week I have contacted a few breakers but most want a list of parts needed , having searched microcat I'm not much better off, I want to convert my 130 truck cab with quadtec hi-box to a 130 DC with hi-cap pickup, I would be grateful for any assistance in compiling a list of parts needed, rear body for rear part of double cab - will a 110 SW version fit with minor mods? is there a better name for this? does anyone have a parts diagram showing how its put togther? rear passenger doors crew cab roof - like gold dust I know! 130 hi cap pickup body & all its brackets, how easy would it be to neatly cut down a 110 version? As I understand it the rear bulkhead and rear windows from the cab are re-used just further back, I think the chassis and brackets are unchanged between the options on most 130's does anyone want a 130 quadtec high box rear body, in need of a pair of rear aluminium panels? Cheers Matt
  12. Even I draw the line at stretching it, I've just emailed all the breakers I can find in the mags for any prices they have to see what it'll come to - I like the crew cab idea... Cheers
  13. Thanks for the quick responce gents - I'm just toying with the idea of changing to a (slightly) more practical crew cab and hi-cap pickup - just saw a 110 hi cap pickup tub cheap on LRO... Cheers Matt
  14. Afternoon Gents, Does anyone know, is the Hi-cap pickup tub for a 110 (truck cab) the same size as for a 130 crew cab? Cheers Matt
