  1. http://www.acc16.com/consoledefender3/index.html Company called acc16 make them full length or half length, bit difficult to navigate the website as it doesn't translate but they also have a facebook page with all the products listed plus more for better and easier viewing. HTH Ollie

  4. Hi all, I'm currently having a couple of issue with my defender starting, sometimes it will start fine and first time, other times when i turn the key you can here it try to turn over then struggles and sounds like a flat battery, what are the best ways to try and figure out whether it is my starter motor or the battery that is starting to give up My battery is reading around 12.2V +/- 0.2 when off reading of my internal voltmeter, when running around 14.1v +/- 0.2 The other question my 200tdi engine has started to feel a little bit more sluggish, and espcially when going into 4th gear it seems to have a drop power then takes a while to get up speed again. e.g in 3rd gear will do 35mph then i need to change gear to 4th and when i do it will drop about 5mph then take around 5-10secs to get from 30mph to 40 ect once up to around 45mph it seems to have enough ummph and will go along nicely, just seems really slow and sluggish overall. could this be due to my turbo going/have gone ( if so how do i tell) or any other suggestions sorry if any of this is vague im not to technical at cars atm still learning but learning in style with my defender any help is much appreciated Ollie
  5. I currently got the swing away wheel carrier from mm4x4 which seems to be working well and takes away most of the weight of the wheel off the back door.
  6. Did you do much prepping other then sanding down before using the coach enamel? Ollie (vet)
  7. I decided to buy a set of new door hinges which were brit part and the j clips were a pain to get in but once in the were solid and the bolts fed straight through the new hinges and in straight away. Door fixed in only half hour it's back on Ooo I think I have one of the telescopic magnetic things some were I may have to try playing a game of landrover fishing Ollie
  8. Hi all I went to change my wingmirror mounts and surprise surprise I lost one of the nuts inside the door which ment the door having to come off to retrieve and replace only to lose 2 of the bulkhead clips into the bulkhead :/ what's the best way of retrieving them if possible? it only took me 3 hours to hang to door back on after fighting to get the bolts back in (they just wouldn't grip through the hinge) :/ now only being held by 2 bolts. Ollie
  9. always worth a go at trying new things, only one way your going to find out if it works or not. I Have got a few ideas for my defender but not sure on how they are going to look, i have tried photo-shopping to get an idea but its never a definitive answer Ollie
  10. Have to upload some pictures when it's finished Ollie
  11. Ooooo okay more things for me to look at now with the coach enamel. Are they able to match a colour if you don't know the code at all. Ollie
  12. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B008HZGS74/ref=mp_s_a_1_47?qid=1427902427&sr=8-47π=SL140_SX115_CR0,0,115,140&keywords=rustoleum+green I'm looking at keeping mine a dark green like it is already. Does this rustoleum paint look like the type of paint needed Ollie
  13. Okay I may have to change that I knew the smooth coated hammerite isn't great. Any suggestions on another make that does a similar thing like no need for undercoat ect. I don't mind if I have to do an undercoat Just want a nice finish and decent paint. Ollie
  14. I was thinking of painting it in hammerite (hammered dark green) as this will hide any brush strokes roller marks. my other option was to paint the same colour that it is now but I can't find out what colour it is. Ollie
  15. HI I'm currently in a decision whether to repaint my defender as it has old paint flaking off in places and could really do with a touch Up I have seen a couple of posts about hand painting and just wondered what people's experience is with doing this and any tips. Ollie
