  1. Evening guys,right after a small brake I'm back into the lr stuff,and another winch truck is on the cards!! Anyhow I'm looking at a hydro set Up for winches! So to kick off iv been offered a mile marker type r that requires a motor, from here I'm blank I know I need a motor,pump,lever's for controls,tank,dog clutch?? But what order type Size make I'm so confused by it all can anyone link/point me to places to buy this stuff,also pic's of fitted insulations would be good cheers pAul

Right I need help fast :-/ recently bought a range rover trayback with all the bells and whistles arb's etc,anyhow I removed the rear prop tonight to replace a worn uj not having the correct uj I selected diff lock to reverse it up the unit no movement??? So scrolled underneath to check for warn linkage etc,all perfect! Pulled it into what should be difflock with the spanner still nothing! The linkage and using the spanner to put it into diff all feel as if it should work with the same feeling as the road going disco I have? Which works? Seriously confuzzeled as it drives fine obviously with both props on,any ideas on what to look at next? Cheers paul
  6. Hi I recently bought a td5 es discovery 2001, traveled south 217 miles to pick her up and was instantly happy it was immaculate! So did all the usual checkes and set on the way home.sat the 217 miles at 70/75mph with not a bother! Got home had a bru an set on my way to a mates! 10 miles is a water pipe burst,she DIDN'T get hot and was stopped instantly I replaced this but the system had started pressurising,so typical td5 I whipped off the head had it checked for crack's after £500 of genuine replacement gaskets seals water pump,rad,tank top,thermostat,it's still doing the same but DOESN'T get warm? The only weird thing is,if I take the bleed screw out of the top hose fill the exapantion tank with water as it bleeds obviously water fountains out of the hole,replace the lid and tighten the fountain stops and it's as if there is no water getting to the top hose? Slacken the lid the fountain begins again?? I have replaced the lid with a genuine landrover top and nothing changes? Any help would be ace as I am we'll and truly out of ideas?? Regards paul

  8. Done it all fresh fuel,new oils and filters lift pump,injectors and seals still try's to fire but won't a sniff of brake cleaner and lots of revs it's away! Will sit all day at 1700rpm but anything under it stops,also it's very tuned or was! So there used to be lots of black smoke! I can rev it to the hills now without a show of any fumes? Shall I just stick a injector pump on it?
  9. Hi after going in a rather deep puddle on Sunday,I've managed to ruin my 300tdi! The water didn't enter through the inlet's but through the fuel system as a breather pipe had been ripped off! Dohh, I changed the injectors drained the fuel and tried to fire it up,it try's but won't spring into life! A sniff of brake cleaner gets her running but it won't tick over? And sounds very poorly a ticking and a knocking noise. Anyone had a similar experience? And what lead to it been fixed?
  10. I don't have anything if you go on eBay and look at the gywin Lewis kit it comes with a small belt and you tension it using the alt like a 200tdi

Hi.....right I have a 2003 td5 engined defender,I bought the truck with the egr blanked off,de cat'ed,straight through centre box and a bell auto re mapp it's done 83,000 it has always gone fairly well n sounded awesome and black smoked like a train,iv since fitted a allisport cooler a pipercross panel filter and a alive tuning inlet pipe with the air bypass pipe for the extra air without telling the maf sensor! The boost is up at 20psi.But I'm still not happy it's supposed to be 190 oss close on it just feels numb gets to 70 and seems to run out of puff? It's been on the computer endless times and shows no falts? It's unresponsive on the acc,and doesn't feel much above 100oss to be honest my mate has a more or less standard discovery 2 with a cheap remapp and I'm struggling to keep up with it? Any ideas were to turn? Any help would be stunnin
