  3. It`s very fiddly and messy job trying to get at the oil sump plug, but you could try this for the next time you do an oil change..cut a piece out of the guard were the sump plug nut is and future oil changes will be easy. or better still,a tip I got from my mechanic..if you don`t do off road driving take the guard off all together like I did,and store it somewhere in case you sell your freelander, this not only makes it so much easier for oil changes but also cools the engine down more,I was advised to do this when I had to pay out £700 for a new cylinder head.if you don`t do off road you don`t need the guard anyway..mayanbilly..
  4. hello siearl,I have exactly the same problem with my 2002 Freelander 3 door. I would be very grateful to you if you would let me know how you cured it.. good luck..mayanbilly may4ever@hotmail.co.uk

  6. Hello all,I have a 2002 Freelander, the air bag warning light has started to come on after start up,the book says that when you turn the ignition on the light comes on and then should go off after 5 secs, mine does go off after 5 secs but comes on again and stays on period, can anyone please explain how I can stop it. the book also says it should be taken to a Landrover dealer to be seen too,and as we all know what is that going to cost me,would it be legal to just disable it?.. thanks mayanbilly
