  1. Just bought a Crypton 335 Motorscope diagnostic centre of the bay and it does not have an operators manual. Anyone have one that i can copy or know where i might source one? Thx, Nigel
  2. I'll aim to be there for 7pm. Will not be in the latest addition as its up on axle stands being welded. Will bring pics though. Nigel
  3. i had one of the 'Handy' horizontal electric ones where the hydraulic pump is on the end of the motor. After just a year or so's use i found the shock of the wood cracking sent a shock wave through the hydraulics and started to break the casting on the electric motor. When i enquired about spares to repair it the shop said it was a common problem and that spares were no longer available. My neighbour rented a petrol driven one and it was really effective. if i were in the market for one, i would go for a vertical petrol driven model. Nigel
  4. John, If Tue is not good, which day is better for you? Scott and I are both flexible on our days. How about timing, what time do you normally pass Swindon? Nigel
  5. Hi Scott, I will do my best to join you, hopefully with the latest addition to the fleet. My vote is for the White Hart. Nigel
  6. Ross, Is someone can get it across the M6 to Blackpool by Sunday evening then i can bring it back on Monday. Nigel
  7. I did mine yesterday and maybe i was just lucky. I placed a trolley jack under the tank and lifted it into place to locate the fuel filler hose, placed a bolt loosely at the front to take the weight, then moved the jack towards the rear of the tank and just jacked it up and the hose slid easily over the spigot. I did use the POR15 tank repair kit from Frosts auto to prep my new tank as my last one rusted out and caused me no end of problems blocking up filters. Hopefully this will now be a fit n'forget solution. Nigel
  8. Take a look at this video from Williams Hybrid Power and it will give you a basic overview of their composite flywheel system. http://www.williamshybridpower.com/applications/porsche/ Nigel
  9. I have a set of 5 255-85-R16 BFG's on silver modulars that have less than 1000 miles usage available. No scuffs or cuts. PM me if you want more details. Nigel
  10. Si, I am intrigued about your electric Freelander. Please tell us more. Nigel
  11. After a spate of outbuilding break-ins locally and clear signs that my workshop had been 'investigated' for access i invested in the Maplin alarm and i can vouch for it being VERY loud as i often forget its fitted and its scares the **** out of me when it goes off after 3 seconds. I opted the mag switch type rather than the PIR version as i did not want mice setting it off accidently. Good value fo money in my opinion. Nigel
  12. Not much on my shopping list for the Newbury sortout this Sunday other than a drop arm for a Defender 4 bolt power steering box. Any ideas how to tell the difference between the two types of drop arm? Thx, Nigel PS, also looking for a fuel pick up pipe with an intact mesh filter for a Series IIA petrol.
