  1. Thanks Chaps! It is out and yep the joints do look very dodgy, so hopefully once its back in I'll have no more trouble! ROFL!!!! well ok maybe not no more trouble but something different!
  2. Mine is the same! I lock with the key and unlock with the fob and then the alarm doesn't go off....its the only way I can do it!!
  3. Hi all! Well, as above, it just won't start! Dash board lights come on, heater plug light goes out so I turn the key and.....CLICK! Nothing!!! just Click! I drove it into town (3 miles in the rain) and it was fine, parked up then got back in and the click/nothing started, sooooo bump started it and drove home and now nothing but the click!? It has had issues (its a landrover!) and recently I was driving along and it suddenly died, wouldn't re start but by the time I'd phoned for rescue it did restart and drove home fine.....last time it was hot (April) it wouldn't restart immediately after stopping, so I'd have to wait 20 mins and then it would start ok, I assumed this was sticking starter solenoid so has it lost the will to live or is it something else?? I'm starting to detest the bl***y car and with a toddler I just would like it to be vaguely reliable!! A BIG ask I know lol! Any suggestions very much appreciated xxx
  4. We have a 95 Discovery with R380 gearbox and suddenly today we have lost reverse gear! Can't even beat it in! All other gears seem ok.... so we have stripped down the top part of gearbox, removed gear stick and top cover so we're down to the bit that gear stick goes in to, seems like something is blocking it from moving towards front, there is an allen key/grub screw....do we need to get this off?...looks like there is a pin stopping everything moving forward but not sure??? Any help/advice especially with pics much, much appreciated!
  5. Having read this we've just done the crowd stopping squeal on my 95 disco and I'm glad to say its easy and it works!!!!
