i have used tri and dual axle trailers. my experience is that your tow hitch hight must be spot on or you will have a few brown pants moments. ! My preference is the duel axle... nose weight is better on the back of the truck and very well behaved on a road trip with weight or without.

I know its not a TD5 but my defender 200 tdi with oversized intercooler is running at 1 bar

Can you check the valve clearances?

Should prevent a little less noise but its not a bad noise to listen to??
