  1. Hi everyone. I may be looking to sell my faithful 90 soon to raise some money towards a house (doh!). I would appreciate any input on what you think it may be worth (bit ambiguous i know). 1987 (E) cream 90 9 months MOT and tax 300 TDi professional conversion (RJ Harvey) (approx 100000 miles on engine ex Discovery) Recon Ashcroft gear and transfer box 3 40000 ago Nearly new BFG 265/75 Mud terrains and unused BFG all terrain spare Husky superwinch uprated bowmotor, bumper, a bar, hella lamps Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks, steering damper and Famous Four standard springs Exmoor seats Mobile storage systems cubby box Mantec rear wheel carrier and window security guards (side and back door) Black c/plate wing and bonnet protectors Sump guard Crystal headlamps and all round lens protectors Loads of other bits and pieces (rear work lamps, mountney steering wheel, bush wires, storage boxes etc) She has been very well maintained by RJ Harvey and myself with a file full of receipts, mots etc. The bulkhead is starting to go but i have a brand new one in the shed for her and a heater. Paints a bit tired in places but overall its very straight especially given its 20 years old. Would post a photo but i'm thick, could email to someone though. I was thinking of between £3500 - £4000 what do you think. Thanks for your help. Gareth
  2. There is a breakers outside of Ongar (30mins down the M11). I haven't used them but they have a small advert in the back of LRO - 01277 822001. Hope this helps, Gareth.
  3. I know it's the other side of the river but you could try RJ Harvey in Rayleigh, Essex 01268 784928 - basic servicing through to custom built challenge trucks and prices are bearable. Hope this helps - Gareth.
  4. I'm quite lucky that I work for a tree surgery and woodland management company, so during the winter I get to drive around woods. She is set up for work and shooting really. The winch gets a lot of use pulling oak trunks around that are felled for timber, pulling trees out of water etc. My Labrador comes to work everyday so I put the rear windows and an MOD roof hatch (which leaks like a collander!) in with Mantec security grills all round to keep him cool and tools safe. It is my only vehicle, so I can't go too mad on the modifications. Some mud terrains (maybe Cooper SSTs) would be nice but I'm a bit concerned that I would wear them out too quickly and their effect on fuel consumption. As with all Landys there is always something more you can do to them, getting through the MOT at the end of the month being one of them Big jobs left to do include replacing the rear cross member and the bulkhead (enjoyed reading the write ups in the tech archive, still a daunting prospect though). I'll try and post a picture of the old girl if I can figure it out. Gareth.
  5. Hello everyone, just wanted to intoduce myself to the forum. My name is Gareth, I live in Essex and drive a 1987 90. I've had her for 7 years in that time she has had a 300 Tdi engine to replace the old 2.5na, side windows, Husky winch with a Bowmotor upgrade, Bilstein suspension and BFG all terrains which after 110 000 miles are coming up for replacement! I hope I can be of help to some of the members (I'm not too technically minded!) and look foward to being part of what looks to be a very comprehensive and entertaing site.
