I've booked the disco in to be fixed (home repair isn't an option due to kids, woman and time). Looking on the Turners website they say there heads are AMC.
The chap I bought it of has put a head gasket on it already. It sounds like he used one of those multi layer ones. Unfortuntaly he decided against getting the head checked out. Luckily the motor was cheap and it can just about stand the cost of a new head.
It's been a while (years) since I posted on here.
I've just bought a 300 tdi disco. The expansion bottle is pressurising and bubbling straight after starting and the heater is blowing cold when it should be hot. With my limited skills I've come to the conclusion my head is knackered. I've looked on the forum to see if there is any preferred supplier of heads with no luck. So the question is, where is the best place to get a new head? I'm guessing Britpart isn't the way to go. Also can a normal torque wrench be used on the (new) headbolts?

Hi
I've got a mate at work with a TD4 2000 reg Freelander with has no reversing lights. Fuses and bulbs have been checked. Where abouts on the gear box is the reverse lights switch.
Thanks in advance Stewart
When I apply my hand brake the vehicle rolls about half a foot. Is this a MOT failure? after its moved the hand brake holds the vehicle. Am I right in saying its time for a new diff?
Thanks in advance Stewart
If it was that good every one would be using it. I've got some colour T cut stuff from halfords so will give that a go. Ive just pm you.
Thanks Stewart
Hi,
My 90 has had a spray job at some time in its life, which has now gone as flat as a pancake. The security guard where I work keeps on banging on about Brasso being a brilliant car polish. Has any one tried this or has he just gone mad?
When say brasso I do me the metal polish stuff.
Thanks Stewart
