  1. This is why I always go for a diesel motor. Less things to go wrong and thus infinately more reliable. Hope you get it sorted soon
  2. Sorry to disagree with you Ryan but I wouldn't touch Keith Gott's with a barge pole as the son Ben once ripped me off badly. He tried to tell me once that it took 16 hours labour to find an electrical fault. The RR was having trouble starting and he eventually traced it to the cold start injector after 16 hours. I personally would have started there and worked my way back through the system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was just the start of a £500 bill which is a very long story but no I wouldn't ever go there again. EVER
  3. Where exactly is this lane? Is it near Bordon? I noticed the KCC logo on the back of the stuck Landy MODERATOR MESSAGE: I would prefer NOT to identify publicly as it may encourage the wrong element to seek it out. GBMUD
  4. Why not just buy a proper LR one off of the internet such as ebay etc?
  5. It could be the automatic choke
  6. Let me assure you that i don't mind someone making an honest and fair profit from me. Let me also assure you that the bottom line is that ultimately the average working guy in the street pays for everything one way or another. Bruno boy definitely ripped everyone off by using their entrance fee money to provide all the jollies for the fat cats. I quickly added up the fat cats versus the rest of us and it was obvious by the sheer volume that we we're paying. Ask yourself a couple of questions. How come the fat cats jolly just happened too be on the same weekend as the Belgian National? I mean if the English are paying for it then we don't have to do it all again on another weekend do we? If the dealers were paying for it why not let everybody into the marquee? No, sorry, I have a sixth sense when it comes to figures and expenditure and the figures didn't add up. We were fleeced by some crafty hairy bottomed conman. TRUST ME
  7. To be honest I wouldn't bother with the Belgian National ever again. I went to the 2005 event and once was enough! I think that anyone with half a brain cell could see that our entry fee's were paying for the marquee in the quarry where the fireworks were held and we weren't allowed into the said marquee. The blighters! This marquee was for all the owners of shiny new Range Rovers etc. but as there isn't much margin on a new car and taking the cost of the fireworks etc it was pretty obvious that our entry fee's was being used to subsidise the fat cats. They had the marquee and I was paying for it. No if's or but's we were ripped off it is as simple as that! Bruno de neef Sanval or whatever his name was mugged me like a kipper but only the once!! Now they won't let us even go there. So much for the EU etc. The quicker we get out of the EU the better in my opinion. Quote removed edited by white90
  8. And you believe an Indian businessman? God you're a bit naive me old son
  9. I've just looked through the DEC. issue of LRO and I've finally decided to stop buying it. The reason being is that it seems to focus too much on what the reporters get up to. This month see's Mark Saville in a survival wilderness jobby. Or Ed Cobley telling you he's got some new stunt in the pipeline for when he's driveing over some Vauxhall Corsa that's f***ed already. His stunt driving it's boring. WHO CARES AND WHATS THAT GOT TO DO WITH LAND ROVERS? People want to see other peoples Land Rovers on green lane days, competitions, play days etc. But more importantly they want to see themselves pictured so they can identify with other Land Rover owners. The sort of thing you get in the Total Off Road mag. You know what I mean Lastly there is far too much advertising GET RID OF IT. I used to buy LRO LRE and LRW but if you really want to know something about Land Rovers then the LR forums are the place to be. Small wonder that the LR magazines are losing sales it's the advertising that tinkles me off especially when you pick a magazine up and tons of inserts from the Alliance and Leicester Building Society for personal loans etc. fall out on to the floor. I always just leave them there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Why buy something a bit newer that is virtually the same machine. All you're going to do is line someone else's pockets and basically have the same motor. If your 200 works and everything is in order then why change? This engine is 16 years old and is still going strong!!!
  11. Okay I think we all realise the motor got barbecued but's time to move on now. Simon is safe and he must rise from the ashes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Sounds like LRM have done you up the botty sideways with a broom handle. If you don't want to repair it don't take it offroad. By simply signing the waiver you are implying that you realise that there is a risk of damage and you accept that. Sorry to say it but your mate must be a bit of a mug
